School Year Program - Activities JK & SK There are three RAC shared space Kindergarten rooms for children in JK and SK. Grades 1 - 4 There are five RAC shared space School age rooms for children in grades 1 – 4. 9+ Program The 9+ program is designed in a less structured way. The children have a direct input into the program planning, which includes cooking, outdoor games, sports, computer games, art, drama, fundraising activities and community service. Program Activities Each RAC room has a variety of planned activities daily, as well as the opportunity for children to choose from a range of free play toys and games. Planned programmed activities are approved in advance by the Program Supervisor and are age-appropriate and encourage the social, cognitive, emotional and physical development of the children. A variety of activities are provided simultaneously so that each child can choose to participate in the planned activity or select another preferred but equally appropriate activity. Additionally, for children in grades 1-6 they are provided with materials where they can read or do homework.
