School Year Program - Daily Schedule MORNING 7:30-8:50am The School Age (SA) morning program takes place in the Cafeteria for all school age children until 8:00am. At that time, the children from B80 and 9+ go to the B80 room and the younger children remain in the Cafeteria. Between 8:20-8:30am, school age children are released into the large playground at the front of the school and are under supervision of the RAC and school staff until they are admitted into the school at 8:50 am. The FDK opening room is Room B15, where all children go until 8:20/8:30am. Then the RAC Staff escort the FDK children to the Adventure Yard at the back of the school and stay with them until they are admitted into the school with the school staff. For the morning program, the staff set up a variety of different activities. Snack is also provided. SCHOOL AGE (Grades 1-6) LUNCH PROGRAM 11:35 - 12:30pm RAC has 75 of 110 School Age spaces available for the lunch program in 2 rooms. This is accommodated with the school’s flipflop lunch program. RAC offers a catered lunch program on a rotating four week schedule. All food is trans-fat free and is approved by a dietician. All RAC Children receive a catered lunch on full days, ie. PA Days, Summer days, etc. AFTER SCHOOL 3:15 - 5:45pm Upon dismissal from their classrooms at 3:05pm (FDK) and 3:15pm (SA), children go to their respective rooms for snack: Rooms 126A & B – JK & SK, Room B15 – JK & SK, B82 – Grade 1, B74-Grades 1 & 2, Cafeteria - Grades 2 & 3, B80 - Grades 3 & 4, and the Portable - Grades 4, 5 & 6. FDK staff from the school walk children to the shared Kindergarten rooms. For SA children, RAC staff are not available to escort children. Therefore the children are to arrive to RAC with other children from their school classroom. If a child remains in their classroom or another activity within the school, they must let RAC staff know by calling the RAC room. If staff have not heard from a child, they will set out to locate the child. 5:25 - 6:00 pm By 5:25pm, each room makes their way to the Cafeteria (inside Door #6D). The children have the opportunity for indoor play of drawing, board games, group games and books until parents/guardians arrive.
